Cumbria Health in the Community

Event Day(s):
Sunday

Sunday 28 July, 10:00-15:00, Kirkby Stephen Market Square and Parish Church (Hartley Chapel)

Meet the team from Cumbria Health in the Community. They'll be signposting to local health and wellbeing services, as well as offering free health checks and help with registering for online access via the NHS app.

Cumbria Health, formerly Cumbria Health on Call (CHOC) are the out of hours GP provider for the whole of Cumbria. As well as this, they manage six GP practices (including the Upper Eden Medical Centre in Kirkby Stephen) and offer a variety of digital and other services in the community. Cumbria Health are pleased to offer free health and blood pressure checks at the Festival which will take place in the church from 10:00 to 14:00. Please note places are limited in number due to the time each check takes, and there may be a short wait while other patients are being seen. Cumbria Health will also have staff and one of their vehicles on the Market Square - come say hello and find out more about health services in Cumbria! The team here will also be able to take blood pressure and assist individuals with registering for online GP access and promoting a variety of local health and well being services.
