Event Day(s):
Sunday 26 July, 10:00-16:00, Kirkby Stephen East station
We are delighted that once again the historic station and steam railway will be joining in our Westmorland Dales celebrations.
Built in 1861, the station served the community here for 100 years, and has been lovingly restored by volunteers from the Stainmore Railway Company.
On the Sunday of the Festival, there'll be a diesel hauled train service using vintage carriages from 1902 and the 1930s with refreshments available in the glamorous 1930s buffet car, along with rolling stock at various stages of restoration and repair on site.
Entrance is free but please note a charge will apply to train rides.
